This animated movie investigates microbes. It was made by P7 (11 year old) pupils from St. Patricks, Saul, County Down, Northern Ireland and funded by Creative Youth Partnerships. The pupils had researched and were already informed about microbes their causes and effects. So putting the story together wasn’t so daunting! We were fortunate Mr. McGrath let us put all other school work aside for this project as it took absolute dedication. We outlined the characters and story, designed and built our own characters using plasticine and other bits and pieces, planned our shots and made a storyboard to help us schedule our movie. We went into full production on the last day, it was a close call but we finished the movie just before the bell went.
